For a long time this blog has been talking about how the biggest threat to the existence of the Jewish State is that one day it will become a secular democracy for all of its citizens.
Lately, it seems like that might be a good alternative to the anti religious supreme court that currently rules Israel.
But Obama's plan for Israel is even worse. Obama not only proposes that Israel become a secular democracy with no Jewish character, the US president also wants to establish a racist anti Jewish, Palestinian state next door.
It is one thing if Israel abandons its Jewish character so that the Arab Israelis can be full equal citizens. I can understand that. But why would the president in the same breath also endorse a Palestinian state that does not afford the most basic human rights to Jews?
If there can be no Jewish State as Obama advocates, there should definitely not be a Palestinian state.
Those who believe in the two state solution of a Jewish state along side a Palestinian state have been called naive by their opponents.
Obama's plan of a Palestinian state next to a non Jewish State is at best completely thoughtless, and at worst completely anti Semitic.
Let's hope its only the former.

Yes, this blog has been talking about it, but the only reason why you have been talking about Israel turning into a secular democracy is to scare the good Jews into taking action to do something about it... Right?

ReplyDeleteWhy is there still any basis to "Hope" that whatever Obama intends has ANY benefit to a Jewish Israel. He's burned whatever credit he had.
@AMG, the only reason it won't ultimately become a secular democracy is that the leftists are a dying breed.
